Brooke studied art history at Wesleyan University and photography at Brooks Institute. Early in her career, she was a photo editor at Outside Magazine and a staff photographer at Crain’s Chicago Business. Currently, she lives in Chicago where she founded Cabinet Shop Studio, a collective of women photographers.

Whether unobtrusively observing everyday life or directing the predetermined look of a large production, Brooke’s favorite place is behind the camera. She loves to shoot people and is always on the lookout for a subtle gesture, humorous moment or expression that signals a universal truth of our shared humanity.
